Hoodland Fire District #74 – Budget Committee Member Needed

Hoodland Fire District #74 is currently seeking a community member to fill a vacancy for Budget Committee Position #3. This appointment is to complete an unexpired term ending December 31, 2026.

The Budget Committee is comprised of 10 members — 5 elected Board members and 5 appointed community members. This is a valuable opportunity to be involved in the District’s financial planning and help guide how public funds are allocated.

Term & Time Commitment:

• This appointment is for the remainder of a term ending 12/31/2026
• 2 to 4 meetings per year, typically held between March and June

Eligibility:

To qualify, you must be:
✔ A property owner or a registered voter residing within the Hoodland Fire District
✘ Not an employee, officer, or agent of the District

The Budget Committee reviews and approves the District’s proposed budget before it is formally adopted. The committee meets publicly to:

• Hear the budget message
• Review and deliberate on the proposed budget
• Consider input from the public
• Recommend changes, if necessary, to align with community priorities

All members of the committee — appointed and elected — have equal authority in this process.
